About us

2011 - the idea and wish of an own build snare drum came up and 2012 it was born with the help of my wood turning mentor Konrad Blümel.
Since than we both constantly focused on researching about what details influences the sound of a drum and how to refine our skills to satisfy our own high standards, the drummer scene around me and my former audio engeneering work.

At the studio I was able to check the sounding qualities of my drums on a very precise level...compared a lot of different timbers, construction methods, glues and shapes of the shells. This reinforcement took me more than 10 years to get to that point where I felt ready to offer my drums to drumshops.

Sadly my companion and master in wood turning was not able to experience that current step in the history of pollnerdrums.

Right now I am searching for investors and drum enthusiasts to realise the next step and take part at the music exhibition.
